About Us

HinterLand Surveying and Geomatics has been serving the West Kootenay region since 1994. We provide an array of surveying services to federal, provincial and municipal governments, small and large corporate clientele, and a multitude of private individuals.

HinterLand Surveying has three commissioned British Columbia Land Surveyors (BCLS), Professional Surveyors (P.Surv) and Canada Land Surveyor (CLS) on staff.

Milos Hinterberger, BCLS, CLS, P.Surv. Milos is also a member of the Land Surveyors’ Association of Washington State, the Canadian Institute of Geomatics and of the Project Management Institute. Milos grew up in Fruitvale and has over forty years of survey experience. 

Vincent Boothe, BCLS, P.Surv, has over 18 years experience in the Kootenays. Vince also holds an advanced RPAS license and has completed over 300 UAV photogrammetry flights for surveys.

Scott Allen, BCLS, P.Surv, has over 10 years experience in surveying. Born and raised in Rossland, Scott also holds a diploma in Environmental Planning from Selkirk College. 

Eric DeRosa, LST, B.Tech, has over 9 years experience in surveying. Born and raised in Rossland, he is working towards his BCLS commision. 

We provide a multitude of legal surveys including, subdivision, accretion, easement and statutory right of way plans. We also complete building location certificates, site plans , topographical plans and layout new construction. We have extensive experience in horizontal and vertical control surveys, deformation and subsidence work. We have completed over 200 UAV photogrammetry projects including mapping large municipalities such as Trail, Rossland, New Denver. 

We typically service: Greenwood, Grand Forks, Christina Lake, Rossland, Trail, Fruitvale, Salmo, Creston, Castlegar, Nelson, New Denver, Kalso and Crawford Bay.
